The owners of this home were looking to update and enlarge the house for their expanding family, while creating easy flow between garden and living spaces. The sloped lot offered limited flat play space. With that in mind, a children’s wing was added on the second level, touching down on the hillside, with a bridge element connecting it to the main house. Family living, dining and kitchen flow together, while an upper level living room provides a quiet respite. Outdoor kitchen, steel shade dining structure, and seating area with fire pit nestled into the hill all capture the wide angle views.
